An online business workshop called “You Have A Business Idea—Now What?” is set to be hosted by Zonta Club of Santa Clarita Valley, aiming to teach participants about developing their own businesses and brand identity.
The free Life Forward workshop is scheduled for Feb. 27 from 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. via Zoom.
According to Edna Dimataga-Fernandez, the Public Relations Committee Chair of Zonta Club SCV, the organization decided to host the workshop due to many losing jobs during the coronavirus pandemic. The workshop seeks to provide resources for those interested in starting their own business.
The workshop is expected to cover methods for developing a business plan, establishing e-commerce and e-mail platforms, and keeping customers engaged on social media.
Zonta workshops are particularly directed towards women, however, any interested individual is welcome to attend.
“These workshops are designed to help participants believe in their unlimited power and potential, build the skills necessary to succeed and be the powerful women they are meant to be,” stated Zonta Club in a press release Tuesday.
Alex Hollywood and Israel Serna, Zonta’s Small Business Development Center Los Angeles Network Representatives, are set to host the workshop. Hollywood’s experience in marketing, branding and working with technology companies such as Oracle, Constant Contact and Trustpilot and Serna’s 15-year experience in digital marketing is expected to provide helpful tips and advice during the workshop.
To register for the event, interested individuals can email [email protected].
