Soup For The Soul Annual Fundraising Event To Be Held By Bridge To Home Shelter

Next month, the Bridge to Home homeless shelter is slated to hold their annual ‘Soup for the Soul’ virtual fundraising event, and tickets for the event are on sale now.

On Saturday, Dec. 4, the Soup for the Soul yearly fundraising event will be held to raise money for the Bridge to Home homeless shelter.

“Viewers from across the nation will be entertained and inspired by returning host Shawn Parr – the outrageously fun nationally syndicated radio host of Shawn Parr’s Across the Country,” organizers stated. “Parr will emcee an evening filled with a high energy live auction, heartwarming stories, and entertainment by award-winning country music and Broadway artists!”

This year’s virtual event is scheduled for December 4 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Pacific Time, according to event organizers, and tickets are available here.

“Bridge to Home is very excited to bring to the virtual stage an all-star line up of beloved country music and Broadway entertainers for this year’s event, including Kenny Foster, Rachel Potter, Mitchell Tenpenny, Tenille Townes, and Walker County,” organizers stated. “The auction is once again going to be filled with several hot bid items such as vacation packages, unique experiences, exquisite wine, collectibles, and more. Shipping is available for Out of Town bidders.”

Last year’s virtual event and auction managed to raise over $110,000, breaking records, according to officials.

The much-anticipated Soup for the Soul event is the largest fundraiser for Bridge to Home — raising needed funds allowing for year-round shelter services and resources to those experiencing homelessness, according to officials.

A new year-round shelter for Bridge to Home is planned for construction at the Drayton Street location of the previous homeless shelter, and events like these support projects such as those organized by Bridge to Home.

The new shelter will reportedly be a 19,000 square foot permanent building that will house 60 individuals and up to 32 family members – the first emergency family shelter in Santa Clarita.

Bridge to Home is a non profit 501c3 organization in Santa Clarita, CA, whose mission is to end homelessness.
