Space X Launches 24 Satellites On Valentine’s Day

Love wasn’t the only thing in the air this Valentine’s day. Space X launched their Starlink Mission beginning in California with the goal of sending up satellites into space.

Apart from a two launch mission, another of the many Starlink Mission, Space X launched a Falcon 9 rocket first at the Vandenberg Space Force Base near Santa Barbara. Its main assignment is to set up the satellites for the Starlink service by SpaceX which provides broadband internet around the world.

At approximately 5:59 P.M., on February 14, the Falcon 9 lifted off starting its ascent into the atmosphere. Satellites were deployed an hour after launch and were spread across the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans.

Sightings of the rocket were seen across Ventura County as well as parts of Los Angeles County including Santa Clarita.

The ship, named B1081, landed on the drone ship, ‘Of Course I Still Love You,’ positioned in the Pacific Ocean around 8 minutes after the launch.

On President’s Day, the mission continued early in the morning at the Space Launch Complex  40 (SLC-40) Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida where another Falcon 9 delivered 29 Starlink satellites.
