With the downward trend of chain retailers remaining open on the Thanksgiving holiday, KHTS has put together a list of retailers in Santa Clarita that are scheduled to be open for any last minute forgotten ingredients.

Amid the full force of the pandemic last year, many chain retailers made the decision to close their doors on Thanksgiving with this year yielding the same outcome.

“What started as a temporary measure driven by the pandemic is now our new standard,” said Target CEO Brian Cornell in a notice to employees across the country.

After visiting Target stores in New York and New Jersey last week, Cornell decided to make the one-time holiday closure permanent so workers could celebrate the holiday with their families, according to the statement.
