In an update to Los Angeles County’s Recovery Roadmap states that county nail salons, bars and casinos may reopen as soon as Friday, June 19th, with health and safety measures in place.
“Cardrooms (casinos), satellite wagering facilities, and racetrack onsite wagering facilities may reopen on June 19, 2020,” reads Thursday’s update. “The owner, manager or operator of a cardroom (casino), satellite wagering facility, or racetrack onsite wagering facility must, prior to reopening, prepare, implement and post the required Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Reopening Protocol…”
Along with cardrooms and other wagering facilities, salons and skin care practices are permitted to open June 19, also following health and safety guidelines.
“Nail salons, tanning salons, esthetician, skin care, and cosmetology services; electrology, body art professionals, tattoo parlors, and piercing shops; and massage therapy (in non-healthcare settings), and may reopen on June 19, 2020, provided that the number of persons admitted into these establishments is limited to 50% of the total maximum occupancy,” reads the update.
As of June 18, 2020, there have been at least 78,227 cases of COVID-19 and 3,027 deaths reported in Los Angeles County.

Outdoor protests and demonstrations have no limit of attendees, however people participating must wear a cloth face covering and maintain a six foot distance from one another.
Bars, wineries and brewery tasting rooms may reopen on June 19, 2020, provided that the owner, operator or manager of a bar, winery or brewery tasting room, must implement health and safety standards.
These locations must also discontinue any game operations such as bowling alleys or pool tables until these activities are permitted to open in modified or full operation, according to the L.A. County Public Health.
This news comes after California was informed face coverings are required across the state when indoors and outdoors if a social distance is not feasible.

Los Angeles County already requires the wearing of face coverings while in businesses, but this new guidance effective Friday adds the requirement of wearing face coverings outdoors, when in contact closer than six feet with people outside of your household.
