The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health released the latest data on COVID-19 on Sunday, revealing 16,835 new cases and 40 new deaths.
Most of these cases include the Omicron and Delta variants, according to public health officials.
At Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, 69 patients are currently hospitalized for COVID-19 and as of Sunday, one additional person has died, according to spokesperson Patrick Moody.
As of Sunday, Jan. 30, 56,116 cumulative cases have been reported in the Santa Clarita Valley since March of 2020, according to Public Health. These cases include:
- 33,709 in the City of Santa Clarita*
- 143 in the unincorporated areas of Bouquet Canyon
- 2,431, in the unincorporated areas of Canyon Country
- 6,793 in Castaic*
- 82 in the unincorporated areas of Newhall
- 14 in Placerita Canyon
- 32 in San Francisquito/Bouquet Canyon
- 44 in unincorporated Sand Canyon
- 299 in the unincorporated areas of Saugus
- 87 in the unincorporated areas of Saugus/Canyon Country
- 3,765 in Stevenson Ranch
- 785 in the unincorporated areas of Val Verde
- 637 in the unincorporated areas of Valencia

Public Health encourages everyone who is eligible to get vaccinated. Anyone 12 and older living or working in L.A. County can get vaccinated against COVID-19. Many vaccination sites across the county, including all the County-run sites, are also offering third doses of vaccine to eligible immunocompromised people.
Vaccinations are always free and open to eligible residents and workers regardless of immigration status. If A person gets hit by a bus and also happens to have covid it is reported as a covid related death.
If a person gets hit by a bus and is on seven drugs all prescribed by the person’s personal doctor then it should be reported as a prescription drug related death.
The fake doctor Barbara needs this accuracy from her office so that the statistics will be more comparable to the covid death stats.
If you are calling a person with a Phd a fake doctor, you are highly ignorant. Doctorate level degrees exist in all fields. Medical doctors are only one. Dentists, Optometrists, Engineering, all sciences. Even “Black Studies” under Angela Davis at UCSC. She bought the Shotgun used to kill a judge circa 1970-ish, to gain tenure.
PhD in Public Health is the correct credential for government Public Health officials. That position does not require a medical degree, license to practice, nor Rener approval.
