Hancsicsak and Parker Bates are among the celebrities launching the #TieABowChallenge – challenging the world to place a bow on their door to show support for essential workers braving the frontlines during the coronavirus shutdown.

The pair joined KHTS Radio live on air, via telephone, to spread the challenge to the Santa Clarita community.

“It’s supposed to say thank you to all these amazing workers out here delivering you packages and all the doctors and nurses out here saving our lives,” Hancsicsak said.

Starting March 30, young celebrities, including Raegan Revord of “Young Sheldon” and Jason Maybaum from “Raven’s Home,” are asking supporters to hang a bow on their door or in their window to symbolize solidarity with each other during this difficult time of isolation and show support for people still risking contact with the virus on a daily basis as essential workers.

“It’s for all those people out there who are literally risking their lives as essential workers,” said Connor Finnerty, a dancer and actor supporting the challenge. “We’re all in this together and we want to show our support.”

Participants are encouraged to share photos of their bows on social media using the hashtag #tieabowchallenge.
