16-Year-Old Hospitalized After Newhall Shooting

A Newhall shooting sent a 16-year-old to the hospital, with a good Samaratan crashing their vehicle during transport Wednesday evening.

Around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, deputies received reports of a shooting victim coming into Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“During investigation, deputies learned a male Black suspect approached three male Hispanics and fired several rounds from a handgun, striking one 16-year-old juvenile in the hip,” Arriaga said. “The incident possibly took place at the Village Apartments in Newhall, detectives are still trying to determine an exact location.”

The victim of the shooting was transported to the hospital by a good Samaritan, however the driver was involved in a traffic collision near McBean Parkway and Orchard Village Road, right outside the campus of Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, according to Sheriff’s officials.

“The gunshot wound is non-fatal and the victim is in stable condition,” Arriaga said.

  1. Newhall Arts District on Awesometown!

  2. Santa Clarita may soon outnumber Chicago in shootings

  3. The Soros-backed disruption campaign has landed in SCV thanks to voters not paying attention to candidates with nice smiles, hair, and platitudes like “justice reform” and science-based policing and prosecution. These mid-terms you better pay attention to who aligns themselves with these policies or you will get more of this.

  4. When you live next to a festering liberal carbuncle like Los Angeles, some pus is going drip on you.

Don’t forget, the Democrats claim there has been no increase in crime, that’s just GOP Fake News. They say (with a straight face) that their Bail Reform and Restorative Justice has been a complete success. And they never, ever said “Defund the Police” and if you think they did that’s a false memory implanted by racist right-wing extremists.

Don’t forget to vote this Tuesday. Whether you vote for more shootings (D) or less crime (R) is up to you.

  5. Probably Hispanic gang activity:
    Los Modela PP Boyz, again.

  6. The shooter was Black, so sounds like another drug deal gone bad——

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
