The list only includes registrants who have their address listed with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, which tracks all offenders who are required to register as sex offenders in the Santa Clarita Valley.
Santa Clarita station officials constantly maintain the list to track the addresses of those who register. The most recent count indicated there was 311 registered sex offenders, although that figure changes regularly due to constant updates. The previous count in July 2017 indicated there were 205 registered sex offenders in the Santa Clarita Valley.
There are several different degrees of registry for sex offenders, who are categorized based on the severity of the crimes for which they were convicted.
Currently, the system requires all sex offenders to register for life.
Within the category of what is known as a 290 registrant (named after the applicable section of the penal code), there are several different categories of registration: Offenders of the most serious sex crimes are listed with their picture and address; there’s a lesser tier for less serious offenses, which only discloses photo and zip code; and another level that requires registry with the station only, however, those addresses are not mapped or publicly disclosable.

Where is this map? Are you not allowed to post hyperlinks? Thanks.
I believe if you google “Megan’s Law” you can input the local area codes and tells you the current ones, but it would be nice to have it updated.
There’s an app called Offender Locator. It shows offenders near your location by pins on a map or by a list. You can see their picture, name, address, and the offense they committed.
Agreed. Why not post a link to the map your discussing
You can click on the map, enlarge it then click on the blue markers to see the individuals.
The blue markers only shows Their name, not the offense, or pic.
The offenders marks are color coded , how do we know what they mean. Can you let me know please?
