Law enforcement agencies in the Santa Clarita Valley reported 35 total arrests over the weekend, marking a slight decrease from the previous weekend’s total of 40 arrests.

Of the 35 arrests, 27 were classified as misdemeanors, while eight were felony-level charges.
Officers from the California Highway Patrol Newhall Office were responsible for 11 of the arrests, while deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station accounted for the remaining 24.
In addition to DUI arrests, authorities reported multiple drug-related charges, including possession of controlled substances, possession of nitrous oxide, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Two individuals were arrested for possession of a controlled substance with two or more prior convictions, while another arrest involved possession of a substance similar to toluene.
