A man who sparked an AMBER alert after kidnapping his daughter was taken into custody by officers with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) in Santa Clarita Friday afternoon.

At around 2:45 p.m. Friday, a man suspected of kidnapping his 23-month-old daughter was detained at gunpoint by officers with the LAPD near the IMT apartments in Stevenson Ranch, which are located near the intersection of Pico Canyon Road and The Old Road, according to Norma Eisenman, spokesperson for the LAPD.
