A rollover crash sent two people to the hospital and slowed traffic on the southbound 5 Freeway in Santa Clarita Friday afternoon.

At around 3:45 p.m. Friday, first responders received reports of a rollover crash on the southbound 5 freeway just north of Valencia Boulevard in Santa Clarita, according to Arnold Anolin, a captain with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“There was an overturned vehicle,” Anolin said. “We ended up transporting two patients to Henry Mayo hospital.”

Two vehicles were involved in the crash, Anolin said. No additional injuries were reported.

Impacts on freeway traffic are ongoing as of the writing of this article.
