Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officials announced Tuesday that the Mission Division had arrested four serial ATM Burglary suspects, including a Canyon Country man.
Between Aug. 16 and Oct. 16, 2024, two robberies, including a kidnapping and carjacking, and eight ATM burglaries occurred in the Mission Area, as well as one ATM burglary in West Valley Area, according to the LAPD.
“In all incidents, the suspects forced open the front door of the business, entered the premises, and tied a chain around the ATM machine. The suspects used their vehicle to pull the machines out of the business, load them into the back of their vehicle, and flee the scene, before removing the cash from the ATMs and abandoning them at various locations,” read a Tusday statement from the LAPD.
Mission area detectives connected the robberies with the ATM burglaries, and, with assistance from the Metropolitan Division, identified the possible suspects and vehicles involved.
