A sexual assault suspect was arrested Wednesday on allegations related to the continuous sexual abuse of his girlfriend’s underaged daughter for over 15 years.
In August 2022, Special Victims Bureau detectives began investigating a sexual assault of a female under the age of 18 in Newhall, said Sgt. Brian Hudson, with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Special Victims Bureau.
“The victim, who was under the age of 18, reported that she had been sexually assaulted on numerous occasions by her mother’s boyfriend,” Hudson said. “The incidents occurred at a residence in the 23000 Block of Valle De Oro in Newhall between 2004 and August of 2022.”
As a result of the investigation, detectives sought and were granted a warrant for the suspect’s arrest, according to Hudson.
“Based on information obtained by detectives in 2022, it was determined that the suspect had fled the United States to Mexico shortly after the crimes were reported,” Hudson said.
“Recently, detectives received information that the suspect was back in the United States.
Jose Sanchez-Aalarid, 53, from Newhall, was arrested for felony sexual assault on a minor, and taken into custody at a restaurant in Newhall by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s deputies and Special Victim Bureau detectives, according to Hudson.
Sanchez-Alarid was booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station with bail set at $500,000, according to officials.

Most times the mother knows what is happening and turns a blind eye or refuses to believe her child. It is unbelieveable to me how these parents will not protect their own flesh and blood!!!
Please write headlines that make sense. According to this one, a reader assumes the man arrested was sexually assaulted for over 15 years when he was a child. The story says otherwise. Recast the header thus: “Newhall man arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting girlfriend’s child for over 15 years.”
This is discrimination against a cherished POC, because this lifestyle & behavior is OK in Mexico! Since there is allowed Liberal open borders, Jose Sanchez-Allrid fled back to wonderful, decent Mexico & came back to continue his approved lifestyle here. The supposed Mother allowed the creature to be with them for 15 years and allowed the creatures lifestyle to be around the broken family——-what do you expect?!?! Birds of a feather!
