Update: corrects number of suspects

Deputies are investigating suspected burglaries in Saugus, after a neighbor reported suspicious activity.

Multiple deputies responded to the residential neighborhood near Bouquet Canyon Road and Plum Canyon Road, after a neighbor reported a possible burglary attempt, said Sgt. Allen of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Deputies arrested two suspects, as part of their investigation into whether the individuals were part of a theft ring that was following around delivery trucks and stealing packages from door steps.

Deputies did not release the suspects’ identities at this time. They are currently being questioned at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Initial reports indicated deputies found numerous packages in the suspect’s car.
