A felony probation suspect with three outstanding warrants, including a no-bail warrant and two others totaling $300,000, was arrested Wednesday after a traffic stop led to a Newhall deputy-involved fight, officials said.
On Wednesday around 5:15 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation near the Newhall Park and Ride near the 14 Freeway, said Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“The male adult was uncooperative with the deputy and became physically combative,” Miller said.
After the deputies were able to detain the suspect they arrested him on a slew of felony charges, according to Miller.
Jason Wolter, 46, of Acton, was arrested on charges of resisting a police officer, possession of methamphetamine, possession of stolen property and possession of narcotic paraphernalia, Miller said.
Wolter was also found to have three outstanding warrants; a no-bail warrant for felon in possession of a firearm, a $150,000 warrant for domestic violence and a $150,000 warrant for burglary as well as being on active felony probation, Miller said.
A 38-year-old Little Rock woman, whose identity was not released, was with the suspect and was also arrested on a $50,000 warrant for driving on a suspended license.
Wolter and the female suspect were both arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s jail.Do you have a news tip?
