Man Arrested After Failing To Yield To Burbank PD

A man was taken into custody Saturday in Valencia after allegedly failing to stop for Burbank police officers.

Around 10:20 p.m. Saturday, a Burbank Police officer conducted a traffic stop near Keystone Street and Scott Road after a vehicle was observed breaking several traffic laws, said Sgt. Brent Fekety, spokesperson for the Burbank Police Department.

“The driver failed to yield and continued to drive recklessly through a residential neighborhood,” Fekety said. “The officer disengaged and did not pursue the driver.”

The suspect eventually entered the northbound 5 Freeway and the California Highway Patrol (CHP) was notified, according to Fekety.

“Burbank Police officers followed from a distance until CHP officers arrived and conducted a traffic stop as the driver exited Interstate 5 at Magic Mountain Parkway,” Fekety said.

The driver yielded and was taken into custody.

Christopher Guerrero, 34, from Burbank was arrested and booked for reckless driving, a misdemeanor, and reckless evading of a police officer, a felony, Fekety said.

Guerrero has since bonded out and is due to appear in court on July 7, 2023.

  1. Guerro already out of jail to continue more Mayhem——Thanks Liberals & Xiden!

  2. Bill, Every time the name of the arrested person(s) is Hispanic, you make sure to list those name(s)in comments. Why?
PS White men commit the vast majority of violent crimes in our country. So if you’re afraid, be afraid of a name like Miller over Sanchez.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
