A man was arrested Wednesday evening for allegedly burglarizing the home of an elderly Canyon Country resident in November.
Andrew Alexander Cruz, 33, of Canyon Country was arrested on charges of residential burglary Wednesday, according to officials with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
On Nov. 1, a resident living on the 18700 block of Flying Tiger Drive in Canyon Country reportedly had her apartment burglarized during the late hours of the night, according to Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“Deputies and detectives were able to use surveillance video to identify the suspect,” Miller wrote in an official post Thursday.
Then, on Wednesday night, the suspect was apprehended by detectives and Crime Impact Team deputies. Special Assignment Team deputies assisted with recovering the victim’s property, according to Miller.
Cruz was transported to and booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail, where bail was set at $50,000, according to arrest records.

They moaned and groaned about ObamaCare, vowing to repeal and replace as soon as they had a majority. So what happened in 2016? They did nothing. They had nothing planned after several years of waiting. Fortunately, ObamaCare is still in place. Not the best, but what is left after the republicans stripped it down of some of its best qualities.
