Man Arrested For Masturbating On Valencia Sidewalk

A man was arrested last week after he was allegedly masturbating on the sidewalk in Valencia.

Around 2:45 p.m.  Tuesday, July 2, deputies responded to an indecent exposure call near Highway 126 and Commerce Center Drive in Valencia, said Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“A female adult caller reported that there was a male Black adult standing on the sidewalk wearing a suit and a tie with his penis exposed and masturbating,” Miller said. “When deputies contacted the suspect,  the suspect was uncooperative with identifying himself, causing deputies to be delayed over an hour while they were also receiving other calls for service.”

Eventually, deputies identified the suspect and took him into custody.

Charles Lemons, 61, a transient, was arrested for indecent exposure charges, and delaying peace officer operations, both misdemeanors, according to Miller.

Lemons was transported and booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Jail.

As of Monday morning, Lemons remains in custody.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
