Man On Probation Arrested For Multiple Theft, Drug Charges

A man on active probation was arrested on multiple charges in Newhall early Tuesday morning after deputies discovered he was in possession of stolen goods and methamphetamine.

Tye Pipho, 27, was arrested Tuesday after deputies discovered he was in possession of methamphetamine, as well as multiple items that reportedly did not belong to him, according to officials.

At around 1:50 a.m. Tuesday morning, deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station reportedly found Pipho at a parking structure located at the 24000 block of Main Street in Newhall, according to Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the station.

“The suspect is on active probation and has search conditions,” Miller said.

Deputies proceeded to search Pipho, and reportedly found him to be in possession of multiple pieces of property that didn’t belong to him, including credit cards, a wallet, a driver’s license and garage door openers, according to Miller.

“The suspect was also determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance,” Miller said.

Pipho was then arrested on seven different charges: identity theft, grand theft, being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of meth, theft of an access card, petty theft and possession of burglary tools, according to officials.

He was transported to and booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, where his bail was set at $73,500.

  1. 500cc of his controlled substance should be good for him.

  2. Once again the parole board turned a criminal loose who should not have been.
