Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to reports that William Robert Billingsley, 51, allegedly pulled a knife on his parents around 5:15 p.m. Monday on the 25300 block of Via Telino in Valencia.

“We had a report of a family disturbance where the suspect was on parole got into an argument with the family,” said Lt. Derek Sabatini with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, said Monday. “The family went outside and we tried talking him out of the house. He turned himself in and we are going to take him for a parole violation.

“The original report of assault with a deadly weapon appears to be untrue. There may have been a knife involved but no threat was made with the knife.”

The bail for suspicion of brandishing a knife is $25,000 but Billingsley is being held without bail due to an alleged parole violation, Sheriff’s Station officials said.

Billingsley was arrested at 7 p.m. Monday night and booked at 7:54 p.m., according to officials.
