Camez’ paddleboard was recovered immediately, however, investigators believe that Camez had not been wearing a lifejacket at the time of the incident.

On Sunday June 8, initial reports indicated that a body had been recovered out of the lower lagoon.

Camez’ family was present at the lake at the time of the recovery.

Castaic Lake Parks and Recreation officials told KHTS it will be sending out a statement soon.

It has not been confirmed if the body recovered at Castaic Lake is Camez’s body.
