A suspected stolen vehicle led law enforcement on a high-speed pursuit Wednesday afternoon before the driver abandoned his car in a Newhall neighborhood.

About 3 p.m. Wednesday, California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers were made aware of a suspected stolen vehicle speeding south on the 14 Freeway near Golden Valley Road, according to initial reports.

The suspect was clocked at speeds of more than 120 miles per hour during the pursuit, according to CHP radio traffic.

The vehicle in question was later found abandoned in Newhall’s Valle Del Oro neighborhood.

As of the publication of this article, the suspect has not been apprehended.
