“We are doing extra patrols around the mall. Yesterday, Deputy Heischuber was patrolling around the mall and saw two men that appeared to be casing cars,” said the SCV Station in a Facebook post. “He made contact with them and found out that one of the male adults had a warrant in the system for his arrest. He arrested the man and took him to the station”

We will keep on patrolling around the mall and shopping centers, in hopes of catching any thieves in the act. Please assure that your vehicle is locked, and windows and sunroof are completely closed, said Sheriff’s officials

Take everything out of plain sight in your your vehicle, regardless of how low the value. If you have a windshield shade, put it up, even at night. This makes it much more difficult for a thief to see inside your vehicle. If possible, park in a well-lit area.

Most importantly, if you see someone acting suspiciously in your area, we want you to call! You can call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at 661-255-1121, or 911 if you feel it is emergent.
