Arrest numbers dropped over the weekend in Santa Clarita, with local authorities reporting 25 arrests, down from 34 the previous week. 

Despite the decline, the seriousness of the charges remained notable, with 13 of the arrests classified as felonies and 12 as misdemeanors.

Out of the 25 individuals arrested, 14 were from out of town. Eight of those were from the Antelope Valley, and one individual was from Las Vegas. The remaining 11 arrested were Santa Clarita residents.

Charges filed over the weekend included seven counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one charge of driving a commercial vehicle with a blood alcohol level of 0.04 percent. 

Another individual was charged with driving under the influence of both drugs and alcohol. 

Four arrests were made for grand theft involving money or property valued at more than $400. Three individuals were arrested in connection with domestic violence incidents.

One person was charged with child abuse with the possibility of great bodily injury or death. Another was charged with elder or dependent adult abuse with potential harm or death. One arrest was made for battery. 

Two individuals were booked for possession of controlled substances or drug paraphernalia in jail or prison. 

One person was arrested for attempted grand theft auto. Another was charged with forgery involving checks or other financial documents exceeding $950. One individual was charged with making threats intended to terrorize and cause fear. One arrest was made for driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.08 percent or higher.
