Street Racing Suspects Arrested Following 120 MPH Ride Through Santa Clarita

Two reckless driving suspects were arrested Tuesday following a 120 miles per hour street race between a BMW, corvette and Mazda Rx5 through Santa Clarita.

California Highway Patrol officers were monitoring traffic on the southbound I-5 Freeway at Calgrove Boulevard just after 1 a.m. Tuesday, when three luxury vehicles passed them at a high rate of speed, according to CHP Officer Josh Greengard with the Newhall Area Office.

“Three cars passed by at 120 MPH: a BMW, blue corvette and gray Mazda Rx5,” Greengard said. “(Officers) observed the vehicles using all lanes passing each other, driving recklessly.”

CHP officers caught up to the suspects on the southbound I-5 at the 14 Freeway after advising dispatch and requesting additional units, according to Greengard.

“CHP units stopped the Mazda and the corvette,” Greengard said. “(They) arrested both drivers and booked them at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.”

Mathew Bacsi, 22, from Orangevale, and Agustin De Segura Tsykov, 31, from San Francisco, were both arrested on misdemeanor charges of illegal speed contest, street racing and were released on citations.

The third suspect, the driver of the BMW, managed to evade CHP officers and remains at-large as of Thursday.

  1. Were they unable to catch the BMW or was the driver Hunter Biden (and thus exempt from all laws)?

  2. 100+ used to be mandatory jail and suspended license for 6 months. Then they added car confiscation.

  3. Glad two of the “Big Pipe” Ricky Racers we’re caught before they could kill a family! They’re probably also cell phone addicts & listening to Gangster Rap (PC called hip hop, to sell, sell, sell to the the brainwashed Sheeple) thinking they’re “cool”, only to be emulating Street Thugs!

  4. 120mph? Were their vehicles impounded or given back to them?
