A suspected kidnapping occurred Thursday afternoon in Santa Clarita, after a suspect dragged a woman into a vehicle, said officials.

Update 4:40 p.m.: Two people were detained on Sierra Highway near Soledad Canyon Road. The incident is suspected to be a domestic dispute, but the incident is under investigation, said Sheriff’s officials.
The suspected kidnapping was first reported around 3 p.m. near Bouquet Canyon Road and Benz Road in Saugus, according to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials.
“The call originally went out as a domestic dispute, but is now being investigated as an attempted kidnapping,” said Lt. Ignacio Somoano. “A woman was grabbed and placed in a car, and the (suspect) drove away.”
It is unclear if anyone was injured at this time, said Somoano.
An eyewitness at the scene described the suspect as a black male in his 20s. The vehicle was a black four-door sedan with black and yellow plates, according to initial reports.
