Tagger Arrested In Canyon Country For Causing Hundreds In Damages

A tagger was arrested in Canyon Country on Wednesday after causing hundreds in damages at the community center.

On Wednesday, deputies responded to the 18300 block of Sierra Highway in Canyon Country regarding a vandalism call for service after it was reported a Hispanic man had just spray-painted an exterior wall, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“During investigation, deputies learned the suspect was observed spray-painting an exterior wall on two separate locations within the community center amounting to approximately $700 dollars in damages,” Arriaga said.

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies detained a male matching the suspect’s description, and he was positively identified as the suspected culprit, Arriaga said.

“During a search of the suspect, deputies located drug paraphernalia, spray-paint and methamphetamine,” Arriaga added.

Alberto Arroyolizarraga, 32, of Canyon Country, was arrested for felony vandalism, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Arroyolizarraga was booked into the SCV Sheriff’s Station and remains in custody as of Friday morning.
