A Valencia man is facing several felony charges, including mayhem, after allegedly assaulting a person with a bicycle rim at Central Park on Sunday, officials said.
On Sunday around 10:45 a.m., deputies responded to Central Park on the 27150 block of Bouquet Canyon Road for a fight disturbance call, said Shirley Miller, spokesperson with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“(The victims) allegedly saw the suspect near their truck window attempting to gain entry,” Miller said.
When the suspect reportedly fled on a bicycle, the owner of the truck followed him, Miller said.
“The suspect allegedly hit one of the victims, a male adult, with a bicycle rim, causing injury,” Miller said.
Ed Note: All charges were dropped, and the individual has been released from custody.
