Wanted Man Arrested After Asking Deputy If There Are Warrants Out For His Arrest

A wanted man was arrested after he asked a Santa Clarita deputy to check to see if there were any warrants out for his arrest.

On Monday, a deputy was flagged down by the wanted man while patrolling near the intersection of Canso Lane and Barbacoa Drive in Saugus, according to Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“The suspect asked the deputy if he had any warrants,” Arriaga said. “During a records check, the deputy confirmed the suspect in fact had a no bail warrant with full extradition out of Nevada, making him a fugitive of justice.”

The warrant had been issued after the man was charged with robbery, battery with intent to commit robbery and grand larceny auto.

Jarred Abshire, 31, from Los Angeles, was arrested and booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

He was given no bail, meaning he cannot be released for any monetary amount.

The wanted man is set to be transported to Nevada for proceedings.

Wanted Man Arrested After Asking Deputy If There Are Warrants Out For His Arrest

  1. This is quite humorous…”Excuse me officer, but I just want to check to see if there is a warrant for my arrest. I mean, NOT that there would be or anything I can remember doing that would warrant my arrest; just want to make sure I’m not guilty for something I did.” BUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  2. “Yeah, that’s her. That’s the lady I robbed.”
Actually did happen. The one way glass depends on lighting and they flipped the wrong way. The perp IDed the victim. Could not be used against him, because he was not arrest and Mirandized yet.

  3. Wow! So glad this man is off the street. He assaulted me, admitted it, but refused to apologize; then a week later he flags a cop down because he was trying to throw ‘statue of limitations’ nonsense in my face. Well, it wasn’t the crime against me he’s charged with but looks like some justice for all who has ever been hurt by this animal
