Wanted Parole Suspect With Over 20 Felonies Arrested On Extortion

A suspect who allegedly committed over 20 felonies was arrested at a parole office Thursday after reportedly stealing a car in Santa Clarita.

On Thursday deputies with the Crime Impact Team (CIT) arrested a known parolee and gang member with the help of the parole office, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“The suspect was responsible for theft of a vehicle when he ‘borrowed’ it from the victim and later refused to return it unless the victim paid money,” Arriaga said.

CIT deputies were able to identify the suspect and learn he was on active parole, leading to a successful arrest during a check in with his parole officer on the 2400 block of South Alameda Street in Los Angeles, according to Arriaga.

Dewayne Johnson, 44, from Los Angeles, who already has over 20 past felony arrests, was arrested for taking a vehicle without owner’s consent, extortion and given a parole violation, Arriaga added.

“CIT Deputies were also able to locate the stolen vehicle to be returned to its rightful owner,” Arriaga added.

Johnson was arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail with bail set at $0, according to arrest records.

  1. Wait 20 Felonies ???? That is just insane #Shocking. The left will continue to defend and make excuses for these messed up people. Newsom and his Cronies. are a disgrace to our state.

  2. “Johnson was arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail with bail set at $0, according to arrest records.”
… and that my friends are how you rack up 20 felonies!

  3. They let him go on a felony parole violation. Now he can get an even 2 dozen. Who is protecting good citizens from these creeps? What is the status of the Gascon recall?

  4. C’mon y’all he will learn his lesson this time on the 21st felony. Keep up the good work sheriff’s. The majority support you. Please help find a cure for Liberalism.

  5. Right smack on the wrist and these knuckle heads are right back on the street

  6. The judicial system works for the trash not for the hard working people

  7. There nothing but dirtbags and we the good people get the down fall

  8. LOVE these comments! Sometimes it seems as though I’m living in zombie land when I read idiotic liberal ‘ideas’ .. it’s nice to see that there are some out there who are not part of the zombie problem!

  9. A known Gang Banger with 20 FELONIES, out on Parole, arrested Again on his Chronic Demonic lifestyles is out, again, of jail on $0!! Liberals & Gas-Con, what the H#%% are you thinking/feeling?! Old fashioned Demonocrats how can you let the insane Liberals bring down your party to this type of degradation?! The Liberal area code is 666!!

  10. Some of you commenting should remember Luke 6:43-45–“For no good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit, for each tree is known by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor are grapes picked from a bramble bush. The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. This man can change, I will pray for him and so should you my children, as I will pray for you. The only one than can judge man is our Heavenly Father.

    • You should remember Proverbs 25:26: “Like a muddied spring or a polluted fountain is a righteous man who gives way before the wicked.” How will the Heavenly Father judge all of us for allowing evil to flourish unopposed?
But this is mere pedantry. It is foolish to thump your Bible and quote scripture while your house burns down around you.
The Democrats want violence to reach an intolerable level so that people will welcome it when they institute a police state.

  11. Tap mayhem you are sadly wrong read romans 10:14
But before people can pray to the Lord for help, they must believe in him. And before they can believe in the Lord, they must hear about him. And for anyone to hear about the Lord, someone must tell them. Yourself and many of the people who comment on here could benefit greatly from believing in the lord.

  12. Pastor Jeff, Your services are much more needed from Seattle to LA, Chicago, Baltimore, Minneapolis, Kenosha, Michigan, NY, etc.!! SCV is & has been doing well & that’s why we don’t want their 666 lifestyles here! Please, prioritize your meaningful services! Thanks

  13. Bowling bill and tap mayhem you guys are a bunch of knuckle heads

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
