A Westfield Valencia Town Center mall robbery on Saturday led to the arrest of two suspects, officials said.

Angel and Jesse Medina, of Santa Clarita, were arrested after allegedly robbing a store in the Westfield Valencia Town Center, according to Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

During the investigation, one of the suspects was found to be on active parole for the same crime, officials said.

“When confronted by store personnel, the suspects became physically combative,” Miller said. “Responding deputies arrested both suspects on robbery charges.”

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s officials did not release the name of the store that was robbed or the items that were taken.

Both suspects were transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, where they were booked for robbery.

Angel Medina’s bail was set at $50,000 and Jesse Medina, who was on active parole for robbery, was not given bail, according to official documents.
