A woman was arrested on several felonies after she allegedly stole golf balls from Dick’s Sporting Goods in Canyon Country.

On Friday, deputies responded to a reported theft at a store in the 26500 block of Carl Boyer Drive in Canyon Country, said Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. 

“It was reported that $300 in golf balls were taken from the location,” Miller said.

The suspect, Ashley Friel, 37, from Granada Hills, was arrested for petty theft with priors, conspiracy and organized retail theft, all felonies, according to Miller.
