William S. Hart Union High School District Superintendent Vicki Engbrecht is set to retire next year, officials announced Wednesday.
Discussion for a replacement superintendent is on the agenda for Wednesday’s meeting, with no one named to take the top spot in the district, according to the agenda for the Aug. 21 meeting.
“In order to facilitate a seamless transition, the board has opted to name the next superintendent in advance of Mrs. Engbrecht’s retirement,” the agenda said.
Engbrecht started her career in the William S. Hart Union High School District as an English teacher at Sierra Vista Junior High School. During her time there, she was recognized as a Hart District Teacher of the Year and Los Angeles County Teacher of the Year.
The retirement is set to take effect on or before June 30, 2020, according to the agenda.
