Lee’s artwork “#FirstWorldProblems” will join the works of other artists in the 2017 tour.
Having graduated Valencia High School earlier this year, Rebecca Lee has gone on to continue studying art under the art program at University of California, Berkeley. Her high school art teacher, Cindy Pharis, is more than proud of her and her work that was actually created while Lee was still in her class last year.
“Rebecca is a self-motivated, well-rounded person with great passion for art,” Pharis said. “She stood out in the AP Studio Art course by showing extra effort, skillful technique and exceptional originality.”

She was able to help build homes in Mexico all while absorbing as much of the human interactions and activities within their construction project.
As the editor-in-chief of the yearbook and Key Club president at Valencia, Lee also became a National Merit commended scholar, Scholar with Honor, and, of course, belongs to the National Art Honor Society.
Despite her many accomplishments, the Art. Write. Now. honor came to be quite a shock for Rebecca Lee.
“I am more surprised than anything,” Lee said. “I didn’t know there was going to be a tour. However, I am extremely grateful for the opportunity. It is a huge honor to have my work exhibited in such amazing places.”
