Self-Defense in Santa Clarita
Kathy Card is Santa Clarita’s top Damsel Pro. She came into the company quickly after they were formed by two women in Idaho after a close friend of hers referred her. 2019 will be Cards seventh year with the company. She joined the company to help protect her mother, girlfriends, sisters and every other woman in the nation.
Damsel in Defense started to help fill the need many women had to acquire self-defense products. Person by person they are helping to change statistics for the better.
Card embraces the “party plan” business model where she comes to your home or place of business to educate women on her products. These events are aptly called “Empower Hours.” In a comfortable and familiar environment women are able to experience their defense products, without feeling uncomfortable in a strange place such as a gun shop.
Card puts a soft touch when interacting with her clients because many of them have already been victimized.
Every forty seconds a child is abducted in the United States. To help combat this frightening trend they are also working to help educate children and families on the dangers facing children specifically.
Damsel in Defense isn’t just for women. They have plenty of unisex personal protection devices for men.
Card is also happy to help educate people on laws associated with personal defense items. For example, in California you must be eighteen years old to purchase a stun gun, but a sixteen-year-old can carry it so long as they have a parental note.
