2022 Santa Clarita Marathon Cancelled Due To Safety Concerns

The City of Santa Clarita announced Monday that the 2022 Santa Clarita Marathon has been cancelled due to challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic.

“The City of Santa Clarita regretfully announces the cancellation of the 2022 Santa Clarita Marathon presented by Parkway Motorcars,” read the Monday announcement. “The cancellation of the popular race is due to public safety concerns – including the shortage of ambulances, delayed response times and the rising number of COVID-19 cases.”

All registered runners will be issued a full refund to their original form of payment. The Santa Clarita Marathon, originally scheduled for February 12, would have celebrated its 25th anniversary this year.

For more information about the cancellation of the 2022 Santa Clarita Marathon, please contact the City of Santa Clarita’s Arts and Events division at (661) 250-3787 or aeo@santa-clarita.com.

  1. Good.
Keep the streets clear for the thousands of people who will need clear routes to the hospital due to the latest scam, strain.
    Weak city leaders.
    Weak county leaders.
    Weak state.

Where’s my nurse boy Bobby? He loves this. So many bed pans to clean, so little time.

  2. The constant Covid hysterical insanity coupled with the possibility of more BLM/Antifa riots is scary!
