Once again, the Haunted Jailhouse maze provided plenty of frights for an older crowd, while families with younger children and the fainter of heart were offered a tamer “Nightmare Before Christmas” maze.
Aside from the mazes, the games remained ever popular with a Dunk-a-Deputy booth allowing guests a chance to hit a target with a ball and douse a local deputy with a bucket of water.
In addition, Six Flags Magic Mountain brought some of their boardwalk-themed games, giving kids the chance to win fun prizes by knocking over milk bottles, making a basketball shot and bouncing a ball into a basket.
Always a big hit, the petting zoo featured ducks, baby lambs and even miniature horses.
Not only featuring games and mazes the Haunted Jailhouse had performances from magician Brian Hoffman, the Valencia High School Drumline, and the Elite Dance Studio.
The main attractions on the stage, however, were the costume contests, separated by age group throughout the day children aged 2-4, 5-7, 8-10, 11-12 and 13-adult took turns showing off their fun and creative costumes to the crowd.
The Sheriff’s Station also brought out its mobile command center available for the public to explore, and the Los Angeles Fire Department had their “Shakey-Quakey” truck on site, giving children the experience of being in a real life earthquake teaching them how to protect themselves in the event of an actual earthquake.
