The Santa Clarita rehab first opened its doors about three years ago with this statement in mind, according to Bob Sharits, program director and host of “The Way Out Recovery Hour” on KHTS Radio.

“Since we’ve opened the door, our goal and our promise to the Santa Clarita Valley is, we will help you no matter what,” Sharits said.

While an outpatient rehab in Santa Clarita may not be the right fit for some individuals, instead requiring a residential treatment center or other referral, Sharits noted that the staff at The Way Out Recovery SCV will always make sure anyone who reaches out to them gets help.

Referring to Melissa Flowers, a counselor at The Way Out Recovery SCV, Sharits continued, “I’ve gotten to be a part of, but I’ve also watched Melissa for countless hours with people who aren’t going to end up in our treatment center, but she’s getting them the help that they need anyway.”

Another thing that may hold some people back from contacting a rehab in Santa Clarita like The Way Out Recovery SCV is their insurance status, which Sharits also noted his staff can help people find ways to work with.

“No matter what your present circumstances are, what kind of insurance or not insurance you have, make sure that you give us a call,” he said. “If there’s anything that we can do to help you in your struggles, or in the struggles with a loved one, that’s what we do.”

Sharits continued that asking for help is the first step, and encouraged anyone who might be afraid to take that step to call or stop by so they can begin their journey of recovery today.

“You don’t have to sit out there wishing you could make a change in your life and not being able to,” he said. “Asking for help is the first step, and I can promise you that if you do, your life will change and it will get better. So make that phone call today.”
