Event raises money, spirits.
The Michael Hoefflin Foundation’s 9th Annual Golf Classic, held on June 9th at the Tournament Player’s Club at Valencia was a huge success for both the players and the young cancer victims that the Classic will benefit.
With a sold-out crowd and a waiting list of eager golfers, the Classic surpassed the organization’s expectations, raising over $75,000 to support the Michael Hoefflin Foundation’s work to give hope, help and healing to children suffering from pediatric cancers.
The day dawned bright and sunny and the golfers hit the links early, hoping to miss the hottest part of the day. The Long Drive Contest kept everyone at their competitive best and the Closest to the Pin players qualified for a million dollar shot.
A BBQ lunch was served at the turn and after a long day of golf, the participants joined Michael Hoefflin Foundation supporters for a dinner banquet. After dinner, the Presentations and Auction were hosted by Access Hollywood’s co-anchor, Emmy Award Winner and the Michael Hoefflin Foundation National Spokesperson, Tony Potts.
The golf tournament was all about raising funds to assist the Michael Hoefflin Foundation’s fight against children’s cancers. Funds raised to help families, funds raised to support research and funds raised to educate the public about this disease. Most importantly, the funds raised will help to give hope – hope that one day children will be free from the terrible diagnosis of pediatric cancers.
