Congressman Mike Garcia, R-Santa Clarita, announced Monday he is set to hold a congressional town hall on Thursday, officials said.
During the event on Thursday, July 23 at 6 p.m., Garcia is expected to provide constituents with an update regarding his first 60 days in office, according to his office.
Garcia also plans to discuss important issues facing the community and country.
“I believe that transparency is extremely important when it comes to representing California’s 25th District,” Garcia said. “This town hall is an opportunity to share with my constituents what is happening in Washington, D.C. and to get their feedback on the important issues facing our community and our nation right now. I look forward to hearing from across the 25th District on Thursday night.”
The Congressional Town Hall is set to be conducted via conference call in order to keep everyone safe and socially-distanced, according to Garcia’s office.
Garcia was elected into office on May 12 during a special election to fill the remaining time in former-Rep. Katie Hill’s term.

He needs to stop with the harsh partisan language and realize he represents all people in the district, not just the ones with an R on their ballot. I would love to hear some constructive dialogue.
