Newhall Home Owner Speaks Out After Trump Flag Stolen From Porch

A homeowner is speaking out after her Trump flag was stolen from her Newhall home and a note was left on her door.

On Sunday, Cari Fawcett told KCAL News that two individuals came to her house in Newhall and stole her Trump flag hanging near her door.

Ring footage shows two suspects, one wearing a mask, walked up to Fawcett’s door and stole the flag.”We’ve had that flag up for probably four or five months,” Fawcett told KCAL.

The two theft suspects that stole the flag also left a note that Fawcett says looks like it was made to look like a child wrote the letter.

“The note said ‘congratulations you’ve gotten your flag taken down.’ They kind of try to write it like a child,” Fawcett said.

Officials with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station confirmed they were alerted of the theft and it is under investigation.

Joe Messina, the communications director for the Republican Central committee of the 40th assembly district told KCAL what was done was “juvenile.”

“Whether you like him or not, it just seems they feel they need to show you the hate they have for the man,” Messina said.

Officials are hoping individuals will find ways to help those they support in ways other than committing crime.

“If your goal is to make a statement, the best way to do that is to find candidates you align with and then fight with them and volunteer for them and get their message out,” Jenna Sickenius with the Santa Clarita Democrats told KCAL.

Despite being victimized once, Fawcett already purchased more Trump flags to rehang and show support for the former president.

  1. I’ve seen many FJB flags flying in the back of the “bro’s” pick up trucks. What does that show Joe? A lot of hate for our president and the commander in chief. Joe, you’re a hypocrit.

  2. The thief is a coward by hiding their face.

  3. Freedom of speech doesn’t apply to Republicans I guess. I too am a Trump supporter.

About Carl Goldman

Carl Goldman, along with his wife, Jeri repurchased KHTS AM-1220, Santa Clarita’s hometown station on October 24, 2003. They owned it from 1990-1998, and then sold it to Clear Channel Communication in 1998, buying it back from Clear Channel in 2003. Since then, they have rebuilt KHTS as a critical voice of the Valley. In 2015 the radio station moved to its new headquarters on Main Street in Old Town Newhall, in the original Newhall Hardware building. In 2018 an FM was added, 98.1, with its signal being simulcast with AM-1220. In January 2020, Carl and Jeri cruised on the Diamond Princess. Carl was one of the first Americans to come down with Covid-19. Months earlier he was impacted by Guillain Barre Syndrome as a result of a Shingles vaccine in September 2019. He is still in recovery from the vaccine.
