KHTS Radio Santa Clarita Radio – Santa Clarita News
Today, Senator Suzette Martinez Valladares (R-Santa Clarita), issued the following statement on the assassination of Charlie Kirk:
“My heart breaks for Charlie Kirk’s wife and children. No partner, no young child should ever have to face this type of loss. As parents, we all want the same thing—to leave our kids a world better, safer, and freer than the one we inherited. That’s why so many step into public life despite the sacrifices and the risks. Charlie did that because he loved his family, his faith, his country and wanted to shape a better future for them and for all of us.
“The assassination of any political leader is not just a personal tragedy—it’s a wound to our democracy. History reminds us of how devastating these acts are. We must never grow numb to it. The words we use, the tone we set, and the example we leave for the next generation all matter. We each have a responsibility to end this cycle of hatred and violence.
“Today, I lift up Charlie’s family in my deepest prayers. May they be comforted in knowing he was a man of deep Christian faith—and that he is now with Jesus.”

I agree that any assasination is wrong and I feel empathy for his children. He wasn’t a political leader, more a commentator who liked to debate others, mostly young college students, He has been quoted, making statements that are divisive. The flying of flags at half-staff for him doesn’t seem appropriate. Remembrance of 9/ 11 is where our country should fly the flag at half -staff. Now is not the time to start using our flag to honor Trump’s friends.
Trumps friends lol, your hate for those with opposing views and opinions is shining through, dont let your news algorithm control your thoughts.
Both sides of this political aisle are making divisive statements, No Republicans are not far right nazi racists like your side likes to call them, these statements also cause hate and get can people killed.
Republicans want all races to be treated equally with no special treatment for any one race.
Republicans dont want to be forced to believe a man in a dress is a woman, thats it.
They also don’t want LGBTQ+beliefs like” kids are born gay or in the wrong bodies” to be taught to children.
People are free to believe and live how they want just dont promote your beliefs to children without parent permission, especially in public schools.
