Members spoke to Mrs. Hoslet-Way’s class about the definition of entrepreneurship, its benefits, as well as some examples of successful entrepreneurs. They also discussed how the typical career path may not always be the best way, but can also have its benefits.

All-in-all, members spoke to the students about how entrepreneurship can be very rewarding, but also have its pitfalls.

Students in Hoslet-Way’s class were very intrigued by the entire presentation, with some students immediately identifying what entrepreneurship was.

The entire class participated within the presentation, with many volunteers being brought up for demonstrations.

This presentation was done in part of a community project undertaken by Valencia DECA/FBLA, the Entrepreneurship Promotion Project.

Members Timothy Ahn, Mark Gray, and Carlsen will be presenting the project and its success to judges at the California DECA State Career Development Conference Saturday, March 5th.

They hope to win at this competition, and move onto to the prestigious DECA International Career Development Conference, or ICDC, this April in Nashville, Tennessee.
