The past football season served as a redemption tour for the Saugus program. Several players delivered breakout performances, but three stood out, with two setting new program records.
The trio includes seniors Jake Nuttall and Ty Hall, along with junior receiver Landon Lattimore.
Senior quarterback Jake Nuttall capped off his Centurion career by breaking the program records for passing yards (6,355), completions (539) and completion percentage (64%).
This season alone, he threw for 2,778 yards, the most in the Foothill League and was named the Foothill League Offensive Player of the Year.
One of his biggest moments came in October against West Ranch, when he set Saugus’ single-game passing touchdown record in a dominant 54–6 win.
It’s not often that records are broken, but Friday night @SaugusFootball1 QB @jakenuttall_8 set a new program record for the most touchdown passes in a single game, throwing seven – six of them coming in the first half.

After the game, Head Coach Jason Bornn reflected on Nuttall’s journey: “That kid took a beating as a sophomore and then as a junior last year… so for him it’s very satisfying. I’m super excited for him that he’s stuck the course; a lot of other players would have transferred out or found reasons to tap out and quit.”
Nuttall was also selected to compete in the Los Angeles Rams’ 2025 Senior All-Star Football Game on December 20. He has received offers from Western New England College and Dubuque University.
Another cornerstone of the team was running back Ty Hall, who finished the year with 1,449 all-purpose yards and 19 touchdowns, giving him the second-most rushing yards in the Foothill League.

He opened the season with a four-touchdown performance in the Centurions’ 35–16 win over Buena and maintained a 3.6 GPA throughout the year.
Junior receiver Landon Lattimore also delivered a record-breaking campaign.
On the same night Nuttall set the single-game passing touchdown mark, Lattimore broke the program record for single-game receiving touchdowns with five. Over the course of the season, he set program records in career receptions (140), career receiving yards (2,217), and career receiving touchdowns (28). He also led the Foothill League with 1,171 yards.

Powered by the trio’s standout performances and the efforts of the entire team, Saugus advanced to the Division 7 CIF-SS semifinals, its first appearance since 2017.
