Los Angeles Rams

In the latest news of Los Angeles football, the Rams found their new head coach in Sean McVay. McVay will be only 31 years old when the new season rolls around for the Rams, making him the youngest NFL coach ever.

However, the Rams weren’t done yet. Los Angeles added new defensive coordinator Wade Phillips yesterday who brings a wealth of experience to complement McVay. Wade Phillips has been a defensive coordinator in the league for 25 years and the Rams will be the 10th team he’s coached.

Most recently, Wade Phillips was the man behind the Denver Broncos defense, which led the league in total defense in 2015.

Sean McVay was formerly the offensive coordinator of the Washington Redskins, but has prior coaching experience that dates back to 2008.

Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers are also back in Los Angeles and not without a big splash. With the unveiling of their new logo, the team also revealed that Anthony Lynn will take over as head coach for the Chargers

Last season Lynn was the interim coach and offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills. The Chargers still have a hole to fill with an opening for defensive coordinator.

Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn has prior experience as a player in the NFL. He played for the Broncos and the San Francisco 49ers back in the 90s. Lynn has also been coaching in the league since 2000 with teams such as the Broncos, Bills, & Cowboys.

Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers couldn’t slow down the Spurs in yesterday’s 134-94 blowout in San Antonio.

Before the game had even gotten started, Brandon Ingram had x-rays taken of his left wrist, which showed no break, and put him into action. He scored only nine points in 32 minutes of action. Julius Randle led the team with 22 points and six rebounds.

The Lakers were no match defensively against Kawhi Leonard and former Laker Pau Gasol. The duo scored a combined 55 points against the woeful Lakers defense.

Tomorrow the Lakers return to the Staples Center as the visiting team. The Clippers will host the Lakers with tip-off scheduled for 12:30 PST
