Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies detained two suspects Tuesday in connection with an assault, robbery and criminal threats reported against different victims during an afternoon crime spree reported in Santa Clarita.

Here are the crime reports for Castaic/ Val Verde, Canyon Country East, Canyon Country West, Newhall, Saugus, Stevenson Ranch and Valencia.
Castaic/ Val Verde
A theft from a vehicle was reported from the 30000 block of Cedar Oak Lane. An Apple I-pad and its cover were taken from the unlocked vehicle. The crime occurred on 4-20-15.
A theft from a vehicle was reported from the 31000 block of Cherry Drive. The catalytic converter was stolen off of a Toyota Sequoia. The crime occurred on 4-21-15.
There were two thefts from a vehicle reported from 30000 block of Marigold Circle. A “Magellan” GPS, “Fossil” watch, Ray ban glasses and “Beats” headphones were among the items reported stolen. It is unknown how the suspect made entry into the vehicles. Both crimes occurred on 4-26-15 during the early morning hours.
There were two semi-truck and trailer thefts reported from the 32000 block of Castaic Road. Both semis were Kenworth models with trailer attached. One of the trailers was recovered off of Smokey Bear Road in Gorman. The trucks were reported stolen between 4-20-15 and 4-23-15.
A vehicle theft was reported from the 31000 block of Ridge Route Road. A 2002 Honda CVR motorcycle was stolen on 4-20-15 between 3:00 and 6:00 A.M.
A burglary was reported from the 28000 block of Chiquito Canyon Road. The front door to the residence was “kicked in and the house was ransacked. Among the items stolen were a PlayStation 4, Tablet, smart watch and a gold necklace. The items were valued at $860. The crime occurred on 4-24-15 between 7:30 A.M. and 4:00 P.M.
A residential burglary was reported from the 30000 block of The Old Road. The front door to the residence was “kicked” in and the house was ransacked. Among the items stolen were a “Bose” radio, “Toshiba” laptop, small wood jewelry box and a gold chain. The items were valued at $2575. The crime occurred on 4-24-15 between 7:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M.
A commercial burglary was reported from the 31000 block of Castaic Road. The night deposit box at the Chase bank had a “sticky” mouse trap tied to a string inside. The bank staff was uncertain if any deposit slip were missing.
Canyon Country East
A burglary occurred near the 27500 block of Sierra Hwy, Canyon Country. The suspect entered an unlocked, vacant apartment unit with the intent to charge his cell phone and take a shower. The suspect was arrested and booked for the indicated charge. This incident is currently being investigated by Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station detectives.
A burglary occurred near the 17600 block of Harris Way, Canyon Country. The suspect entered the victim’s unlocked, attached garage, forced entry into his locked vehicle, and stole numerous items. This incident is currently being investigated by Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station detectives.
A petty theft occurred near the 17400 block of Dove Willow St., Canyon Country. The suspect(s) entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole numerous items. This incident is currently being investigated by Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station detectives.

A grand theft occurred from a business near the 19300 block of Golden Valley Rd., Canyon County. The suspect(s) entered the store with an empty shopping bag and placed store merchandise inside. The suspects then walked out of the store with the merchandise, failing to pay for it. This incident is currently being investigated by Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station detectives.

A robbery occurred near the 27500 block of Whites Canyon Road. The victim let the suspect borrow his bicycle to buy some food. After a few hours the suspect never returned the bicycle. The victim began walking around the area in search for the suspect and his bicycle. The victim found the suspect in the above indicated area, and the two got into a physical altercation over the bicycle. During the altercation, the victims cell phone fell out of his pocket and the suspect pick it up and placed it in his pocket. During this altercation a witness called the Sheriff’s Department. Deputies arrived and arrested the suspect. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.
A residential burglary occurred near the 18700 block of Flying Tiger Drive. Suspect(s) unknown entered the victims residence by means unknown and stole jewelry from within. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.
A petty theft occurred near the 26400 block of Carl Boyer Drive. The victim left her purse in a parking lot near the above location. After a short time the victim returned to where she left her purse but was unable to locate it. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.
A shoplifting occurred near the 26400 block of Carl Boyer Drive. One suspect was arrested for taking store items without paying for them. During the investigation, Deputies found narcotics and narcotic paraphernalia on the suspect as well. The suspect was additionally charged for those crimes. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.
Saugus
A burglary to a vehicle occurred near the 23800 block of Copperhill Dr. The vehicle was parked in the shopping center parking lot. The suspect shattered the front passenger window and stole the victim’s tax return paperwork.
A petty theft was reported from the area of Newhall Ranch Road/Millhouse Lane. A battery from a maintenance company’s truck was stolen from this location.
There was a commercial burglary reported from the 26500 block of Bouquet Canyon Road. A male and a female entered the location and took over $500 worth of alcohol from the store. The suspects fled the location without paying for the alcohol.
An assault with a deadly weapon occurred near the 27600 block of Bouquet Canyon Road. The suspect and victim were involved in a verbal altercation over a parking space. The suspect threw a ceramic picture frame at the victim hitting her in the chest. The suspect was later located and arrested.
Stevenson Ranch
An Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Vehicle)/ Battery with Great Bodily Injury/ Battery incident occurred in the 26200 block of Valencia Blvd. A juvenile struck an adult female several times with his text books and punched her in the face. The subject then drove away in a vehicle, dragging an occupant of the vehicle approximately 30 feet, as she attempted to exit. The occupant of the vehicle struck her head when she fell while exiting the vehicle. The adult female sustained a laceration above her eye. The juvenile was detained and transported to a juvenile detention center by responding deputy personnel.
A commercial burglary/ forgery incident occurred in the 25600 block of The Old Road. An unemployed North Hills suspect was arrested by responding deputy personnel after attempting to open an account at the location with a fraudulent/forged check belonging to a business.
A burglary to vehicle incident occurred in the 25200 block of The Old Road. Unknown suspect(s) stole the victim’s third row seat from her 2007 Chevy Tahoe. Entry was made via the front driver’s door after the lock was punched.
Another burglary to vehicle incident occurred in the 25500 block of The Old Road. Unknown suspect(s) smashed the victim’s car window and stole her purse containing high end glasses, her wallet, $300 in cash and miscellaneous credit cards.
A shoplifting incident occurred in the 24800 block of The Old Road. Two suspects (a Hispanic male, 30 years and a white male, 30 years) entered the business and stole two 18 packs of beer. The suspects fled in a red, 4-door, newer model vehicle. The incident is currently investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.
A shoplifting incident occurred in the 25400 block of The Old Road. Two suspects (a white female in her 20’s and a white female in her 40’s) walked out of the business with a shopping cart full of groceries. The grocery cart was abandoned and the stolen property was recovered when the suspects were approached by loss prevention personnel. The suspects fled in a blue vehicle. The incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.
Another shoplifting incident occurred in the 25400 block of The Old Road. A Hispanic male and female walked out of the business with a shopping cart full of merchandise. They fled when detained by Loss Prevention personnel. Loss Prevention personnel were able to recover most of the stolen property. Santa Clarita Station detectives are currently investigating this incident.
A theft of vehicle parts occurred in the 25300 block of The Old Road. Unknown suspect(s) stole the victim’s company vehicle’s tailgate. The victim’s vehicle was a white 2008 Ford Super Duty truck. The incident occurred while parked in the business’s parking lot.
A theft of a cellular phone occurred in the 25400 block of The Old Road. The victim had her cellular phone stolen while at the location. Video footage shows the suspect is described as a Hispanic female, 40-45 years of age, 5’2” to 5’5”, 180 lbs and having brown hair. No arrest was made. (seq. 5567)
Newhall
A burglary to vehicle incident occurred in the 23500 block of Lyons Avenue. The vehicle’s window was smashed and a black iPad was stolen.
Another burglary to vehicle incident occurred in the 23500 block of Newhall Avenue. The vehicle’s window was smashed and packaged clothing was stolen.
Valencia
An attempted robbery occurred 24700 block of McBean Parkway. The victim was approached by a male Hispanic who ordered him to open his backpack. The suspect pulled a knife out on the victim once the victim refused to comply with the suspect’s demands. The victim fearing for his safety gave the victim his backpack and the suspect began to go through it. The suspect told the victim he was looking for a stolen laptop and PSP. Once the suspect did not find what he was looking for, he told the victim “sorry” and fled the area.
A vehicle theft occurred near the 26700 block of Town Center Drive. The victim had his 2002 Toyota Camry stolen from the location. No further information is available at this time.
A grand theft occurred near the 24800 block of Avenue Rockefellar. The victim had his catalytic converters stolen from his 2014 Toyota Tacoma vehicle while it was parked at the location.
A burglary occurred near the 25100 block of Rye Canyon Road. An unknown suspect entered the victims storage shed which a locked conex box and stole numerous firearms. The conex box was locked prior to the victim leaving the location.
A petty theft occurred near the 27900 block of McBean Parkway. While the victim was away from his vehicle an unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and stole the victim’s cell phone.
A shoplifting theft occurred near the 27900 block of Kelly Johnson Parkway. An unknown suspect entered the location and placed items in his shopping cart and exited the store through an emergency exit. The suspect placed the items in his vehicle and fled the area.
A second shoplifting theft occurred near the 27900 block of Kelly Johnson Parkway. A male and a female suspect were arrested from the location for placing numerous items inside a bag which was brought into the store by the suspects. They exited the store and failed to pay for the concealed items. Both suspects were arrested at the location by responding deputies.
