The family of a Saugus High shooting survivor has set up a fundraiser to help pay for his physical and emotional recovery.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to support 14-year-old Andrew Gardetto, one of three students injured in the Saugus High shooting last Thursday, as well as his family.
The page, organized by Laura Muir, a family friend and coworker to Gardetto’s mother, Katie Kline, explained that the funds would go towards helping Gardetto and his family recover both physically and emotionally.
“While Andrew’s physical wounds will heal, the emotional toll is much greater,” said Muir. “We hope you will consider donating to help support Katie, Andrew and their family as they recover during this difficult time, plan a family vacation to take some time to heal and get Andrew any help he may need to work through this tragedy.”

Andrew was reportedly shot in the right thigh and taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital for treatment, according to Hart District officials.
A member of the Santa Clarita Young Marines program, Gardetto was released that same night, as he had sustained the most minor injuries of all three survivors.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has a Victim/Witness program to assist victims of a crime. I used them in 2010 in the AV as I was a victim of ab assault. Its another option for these families to check out for assistance and its free to them. http://da.co.la.ca.us/vwap/locations
