Santa Clarita community members attended the “Saugus Dayz” concert Saturday night to help raise funds for Saugus High shooting victims.
On Saturday, about 200 Saugus High School students and the community attended the event at the Santa Clarita Soccer Center, which featured live music by artists Sun N Moon, Cbangz, Subspace and Treble.
The event was a fundraiser sponsored by The Santa Clarita Valley Coalition and The Master’s University to benefit the families of Gracie Anne Muelberger and Dominic Blackwell. Both students died after another student, Nathaniel Berhow, opened fire at Saugus High the morning of Nov. 14, 2019. Three other students were injured in the incident, all of which are making a full recovery.
Approximately $1,500 raised from the event is set to be split up and donated to the Muelberger and

Blackwell families, according to Kaleb Miner, the concert’s organizer.
Though Miner has organized many events, he said this one holds a special place in his heart, mentioning that holding an event that has a direct influence on helping out students and staff after a traumatic event is important, and that it was nice to see everyone having fun.
The students, having gone back to school the Monday before the event, needed something to look forward to, and events like this are what many parents are calling the light of their children’s weeks, according to officials.
The concert is one of many that have raised money for those affected by the Saugus High shooting. In December 2019, Backyard Grub N’ Brews held a fundraiser also honoring the victims.
The family of Addison Koegle, one of the victims shot in the incident, attended that event to thank the community for the seemingly never-ending support of all the families affected by the tragedy.
Another business, Runners Lane, hosted a 5k run and walk, where donations were accepted. The donations at that event, plus the sale of shirts donning the #SaugusStrong hashtag, totaled $500 after only five days of organizing.

Sounds good, but the initial picture shows a male “flashing” gang signs as well as the regular word “days” is spelled “dayZ”, which is another way of acceptance to the gang/low class life styles of degradation!! The more our children are programmed to ACCEPT gangster rap (PC called hip hop), the more evil creeps in to normal society!!
There was no gang affiliation at all at that event. We didn’t even play rap music we played pop the whole time and some people even got mad that we just played pop music. I would appreciate it if you didn’t judge without being there.
If you really think that the way something is spelled makes it gang related you’re ridiculous and the fact that you said he’s throwing up gang signs shows your ignorance. Those are peace signs the opposite of gang signs. You’re over here bashing on and event while completely lying about what went on. It was a charity event take your ignorance elsewhere.
Naive Gabe: Ever watch BoyZ in the Hood? That’s the way gangs/low quality people spell! One hand may be a sloppy peace sign, the other is not! Some sheep complained that the band wasn’t playing gangster rap (PC called hip-hop) to sell, sell, sell to the masses that FOLLOW foolish, air headed trends
Lol, okay.
