UPDATE: The Hillary Fire was held to just under 3 acres Monday afternoon on the 14 Freeway.

The brush fire, dubbed the Hillary Fire, was first reported around 4:35 p.m. Monday on the southbound 14 Freeway south of Newhall Avenue in Newhall, according to Los Angeles County Fire officials.

UPDATE (5:10 pm): Forward progression of the fire was stopped at 2.8 acres, Fire officials said.

UPDATE (5:00 pm): The fire is at approximately 2 to 3 acres, according to Fire officials.

As of 4:45 p.m. the brush fire is at one quarter acre with no structures threatened, according to officials on scene.
